Esmeralda of Belgium
Journalist, writer, and environmental activist, Princess Esmeralda of Belgium has for decades defended human rights, Indigenous Peoples, and climate justice. President of the Fonds Léopold III pour la conservation de la nature and ambassador of Stop Ecocide International, she is actively engaged alongside youth, notably through collaborations with young Belgian activists such as Adélaïde Charlier.
She shares with Planète Amazone the conviction that it is essential to devote more energy to supporting and protecting younger generations. She has thus joined the series Protégeons l’Amazonie, produced by Planète Amazone for EarthX TV, and co-directed with Gert-Peter Bruch the film Amazonia, the Heart of Mother Earth.
