Tania Kambourova
A Bulgarian-born graduate in Modern Literature and Slavic Studies, Tania Kambourova is a former student of Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne and a specialist in Central European literatures. She has worked in particular on resistance poetry and representations of power in contemporary Bulgarian literature.
Teacher-librarian at the Lycée LaSalle Saint-Denis, she became involved with Planète Amazone in 2019, following events organized in Paris for the Alliance of Mother Nature’s Guardians. Since then, she has played a central role in raising students’ awareness of issues related to Indigenous Peoples and the protection of the Amazon.
Thanks to her initiative, several thousand high-school students have discovered the association’s films and spoken directly with Indigenous representatives. She actively contributes to the development of the project Amazonia, the Heart of Mother Earth, embedding its values in the education sector.
