Tania Kambourova
Originally from Bulgaria, Tania Kambourova holds degrees in Modern Literature and Slavic Studies. A former student of Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne and a specialist in Central European literature, her academic work has focused in particular on resistance poetry and representations of power in contemporary Bulgarian literature.
A teacher-librarian at LaSalle Saint-Denis High School, she became involved with Planète Amazone in 2019 following events in Paris organized for the Alliance of Guardians of Mother Nature. Since then, she has played a central role in raising student awareness about Indigenous issues and the protection of the Amazon.
Thanks to her initiative, several thousand high school students have had the opportunity to discover the association’s films and engage directly with Indigenous representatives. She is an active contributor to the development of Amazonia, the Heart of Mother Earth, helping to embed its values within the educational world.
