Arkan Simaan

A writer, historian of science, and senior physics teacher, Arkan Simaan is a Franco-Brazilian intellectual who has long been committed to human rights, social justice, and the defense of Indigenous peoples. A founding member of Planète Amazone, he has supported the organization since its inception, notably alongside Chief Raoni, with whom he took part in the very first educational initiatives aimed at youth in 2012.

Author of numerous works on popular science and critical essays, he now brings his expertise to the Amazonia, the Heart of Mother Earth project as an advisor on education and diplomacy. He also plays a key role in field translations, essential for intercultural dialogue between Indigenous representatives and their European counterparts. His dual heritage and lifelong commitment make him a vital bridge between worlds.
