Grandson of Chief Raoni, Tau Metuktire has been chosen by his people to represent the voices of the Kayapo and to defend the forest. Trained from adolescence in public speaking and diplomacy, he has accompanied his grandfather for many years to international forums.

He has instigated a project for differentiated education, working to transmit traditional knowledge while also training Indigenous youth in the use of modern technologies. He officially represents Chief Raoni on certain international missions and is actively involved in the Amazonia, the Heart of Mother Earth project.
