Pierre Richard
An iconic actor and director in French cinema, Pierre Richard is also a committed activist for the rights of Indigenous peoples and the protection of the Amazon. A longtime supporter and public advocate of the NGO Planète Amazone since 2014, he actively backs its initiatives and regularly promotes its campaigns to the general public.
He is a founding member of the Alliance of Guardians of Mother Nature, launched during COP21 in Paris in 2015, and has taken part in numerous campaigns and events in support of the Alliance. Through his public statements, unwavering commitment, and his popularity, he helps amplify the voices of Indigenous peoples and raise awareness about the urgent need to protect the vital balance of life on Earth.
