Founder of the NGO Planète Amazone, Gert-Peter Bruch is a committed filmmaker who has spent over 35 years working alongside Indigenous peoples and protecting the Amazon rainforest. He is the executive producer of Amazonia, the Heart of Mother Earth, which he wrote, co-directed with Princess Esmeralda of Belgium, and edited – partly using his own archival footage.
He volunteered with Sting and Chief Raoni during their first international tour in 1989, and has since organized or managed communications for six international campaigns of the renowned Amazonian defender. Co-founder of the Alliance of Guardians of Mother Nature, he anchors his activism in a humanist and intergenerational approach
