Stop Ecocide International
Stop Ecocide International is a non-profit organization working to have ecocide — the large-scale and deliberate destruction of ecosystems — recognized as a crime under international criminal law. The organization is behind the first independent legal definition of this crime and coordinates a global network of experts, legal professionals, policymakers, and Indigenous representatives.
A partner of the film Amazonia, Heart of Mother Earth, Stop Ecocide International has supported its dissemination at several major international summits, helping to amplify the voices of Indigenous peoples at the heart of climate negotiations. This partnership reflects a shared vision: to bring forth environmental justice that protects the Earth as a legal subject and acknowledges the vital role of the Guardians of Nature.
